# Immune Effects

Mebendazole's immune relevance is especially interesting because of its **ERK / MAPK duality**.

### Immune overview

In tumour cells, mebendazole appears to suppress ERK-related survival signalling. In immune cells, it may activate ERK-linked pathways in ways that support anti-tumour immune responses.

### Why this matters

That means mebendazole may do two things at once:

* weaken ERK-driven tumour survival
* strengthen parts of the immune response against the tumour

This is one of the reasons it stands out among repurposed and integrative oncology candidates.

### Practical interpretation

The immune discussion remains emerging, but it strengthens the case for mebendazole as a multi-pronged adjunct rather than a simple anti-mitotic drug.

# Agent Instructions: Querying This Documentation

If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter:

```
GET https://myhealingcommunity.gitbook.io/myhealingcommunity-docs/off-label-drugs-for-cancer/mebendazole-in-oncology/immune-effects.md?ask=<question>
```

The question should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
