# Other Cancer Types

WFA has preclinical evidence across several additional cancer types. These settings do not yet support the same level of confidence as breast or ovarian cancer, but they are not trivial.

### Overview

| Cancer type | Key signal | Evidence level |
| --------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------- | ------------------------------ |
| Colorectal | `HSP90`, `HIF-1α`, and EMT axis inhibition | Cell line and animal |
| Osteosarcoma | Published Phase I oncology trial and pro-apoptotic preclinical work | Phase I human plus preclinical |
| Prostate | G2/M arrest and proteomic target mapping | Cell line established |
| Pancreatic | Oxaliplatin synergy and CSC-related signalling | Cell line only |
| Cervical | HPV `E6/E7` downregulation and xenograft activity | Cell line and animal |
| B-cell lymphoma | `NF-κB`, BCR signalling, and HSP90 disruption                       | Cell line and animal           |
| Hepatocellular | Ferroptosis and resistance relevance via `Keap1/Nrf2` | Cell line and animal |
| Thyroid | Sorafenib synergy | Cell line and animal |

### What this means in practice

These settings expand the plausibility of WFA as a broad anticancer platform. They do not carry the same translational weight.

Osteosarcoma is the main exception because it has direct human Phase I relevance, even though efficacy remains unproven.

The others remain exploratory disease areas where mechanism is ahead of clinical translation.

### Bottom line

These thinner signals matter most as evidence of breadth, not as proof of near-term clinical readiness.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://myhealingcommunity.gitbook.io/myhealingcommunity-docs/natural-medicines/withaferin-a-wfa-in-oncology/wfa-evidence-by-cancer-type/other-cancer-types.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
