# Monitoring & Safety Guidelines

This page covers the main safety checks built into the protocol.

### Essential lab monitoring

#### Before starting

Baseline labs can include:

* liver enzymes: ALT and AST
* complete blood count
* kidney function: creatinine and BUN
* any fungal testing your practitioner recommends

#### During protocol

* **Day 10:** repeat ALT and AST
* **Week 4:** comprehensive metabolic panel and CBC
* **As needed:** repeat based on symptoms or clinician guidance

### Stop and contact your doctor immediately if you notice

#### Liver warning signs

* dark urine
* upper-right abdominal pain
* jaundice
* unexplained nausea or appetite loss

#### Severe die-off or systemic warning signs

* fever above 101°F
* severe headache or confusion
* difficulty breathing
* chest pain or rapid heartbeat
* severe vomiting or diarrhoea

#### Allergic reaction warning signs

* rash, hives, or swelling
* difficulty swallowing
* breathing difficulty
* anaphylaxis features

### Expected versus concerning symptoms

#### Common and often manageable

* mild headache
* temporary fatigue
* mild skin breakout
* mild loose stool or gas
* mild brain fog
* slight muscle aches

A reasonable first move is more hydration, more binders, and a temporary pace reduction.

#### More concerning

* severe or persistent headache
* extreme exhaustion that does not settle
* marked worsening of existing symptoms
* persistent digestive distress
* any red flag listed above

### Supporting your body during the protocol

#### Hydration

Aim for at least 8–10 glasses of water daily.

#### Food

Use antioxidant-rich foods that fit your existing tolerance.

Examples:

* berries
* leafy greens
* colourful vegetables
* green tea
* dark chocolate with high cacao content

#### Movement

Use walking, stretching, or yoga.

Avoid intense exercise during heavy die-off.

#### Rest and stress

Prioritise sleep.

Build in low-intensity stress support such as breathwork or meditation.

#### Bowel regularity

Aim for at least one well-formed bowel movement daily.

If constipation appears, increase water, fibre, magnesium, or sweeper support as appropriate.

{% hint style="warning" %}
This page supports safer monitoring. It does not replace medical review, especially when prescription antifungals or liver-stressing compounds are involved.

# Agent Instructions: Querying This Documentation

If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter:

```
GET https://myhealingcommunity.gitbook.io/myhealingcommunity-docs/fungal-pathogens/anti-fungal-protocol-building-support/monitoring-and-safety-guidelines.md?ask=<question>
```

The question should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
