### Healing Cancer Study Support Group (HCSSG) <a href="#healing-cancer-study-support-group-hcssg" id="healing-cancer-study-support-group-hcssg"></a>

The Healing Cancer Study Support Group is a private Facebook community of 22,000+ members from around the world, united by one purpose: researching the many and varied topics that relate to healing cancer.

The group was founded in 2019 by Abbey — an Australian-based advocate who has thrived for many years following a stage 4 metastatic lobular breast cancer diagnosis. What began as a personal journey into the research became a full-time mission: building a structured, science-driven space where patients, caregivers, and advocates could study together.

### What Makes This Group Different <a href="#what-makes-this-group-different" id="what-makes-this-group-different"></a>

This is, above all, a *study support group*. Rather than a space for personal updates or general well-wishes, HCSSG is built around focused, topic-specific research threads — covering everything from genomics and repurposed medications to natural compounds, metabolic protocols, and clinical trials. Members are encouraged to contribute to existing threads with what they learn to keep the collective knowledge deep, organised, and easy to search.

The community is:

* **Hope-focused and science-driven** — every discussion is grounded in research
* **Collaborative** — members with all cancer types contribute and learn from one another
* **Highly curated** — Abbey actively organise s, files, and resources such as this site to keep information accessible
* **Supplement and repurposed medicine friendly** — one of the most comprehensive communities for protocol research of this kind

### What Members Say <a href="#what-members-say" id="what-members-say"></a>

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://myhealingcommunity.gitbook.io/myhealingcommunity-docs/cancer-patient-community-supports/online-groups/facebook-groups/healing-cancer-study-support-facebook-group.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
